![]() ![]() Angie Monteleon trained and showed Hawk to his CD when he was 6 1/2 years old. It wasn't exactly his idea of a good time! ![]() Waiting for dinner! Am/Can Ch. Marienburg Sun Hawk CD (Marienburg's Sundancer x Marienburg's Desert Flame) Hawk was the Number One Doberman throughout his show career and at the time of his retirement, he was the Number One Working Dog. He had 23 Specialty wins, 139 Best of Breeds, 73 Group placings and 5 All-Breed Best In Shows. He was Best of Breed at the DPCA National in 1976, Best of Breed at Westminster in 1976, and Winner of the 1975 DPCA Top Twenty Competition. Hawk was from the second breeding of Sundancer to Desert Flame. This first red to red breeding whelped in 1972 had produced Ch. Marienburg's Cheyenne Autumn, Ch. Marienburg Apache Warbonnet and Ch. Marienburg's Hurry Sundown, CD. Hoping for another success, we did the breeding again never imagining a dog such as Sun Hawk would be the result, proving that a repeat breeding can be a good thing.
